We’ve have a very exciting class coming up next week, on Thursday 11th May.
This class will be an exploration of quinine, the key component in tonic, and how to make delicious tonic syrup for use in home made Gin and Tonics. The exceptionally knowledgeable Nick Tesar, previously of Gin Palace and Lume, and currently of Bad Frankie and Bar Liberty, will be demonstrating how to make tonic at home, as well as discussing the history of cinchona, quinine and tonic, its uses, and recipes ideas and tricks.
The class will include a drink on arrival, a demonstration of how to make your own tonic syrup at home, as well as recipes ideas. The shop will be open for half an hour following, with DIY tonic kits available for purchase. Never be stuck using sub-par tonic with that beautiful bottle of gin again!

Nick Baxter from Archie Rose took us through a few classic drinks, exploring the changes you can make to these cocktails with small changes, and the mysterious nature of balance in a drink.

We are excited to host our febfast Mocktail class this Thursday 9th, 6 – 7:30 at The Bitters Lab. Pause for a Cause! By taking part a portion of the tickets go to supporting disadvantaged youth across the country. febfast do fantastic work and we are proud to support them!

We are very happy to announce our next cocktail masterclass; “Bitters, The Barman’s Spice Rack”.
Run by Jacob Taylor, creator of Australia’s first bitters label Mister Bitters, this class will be all about the classic cocktail spice and digestif, from the medicine to the mixing glass and everything in between. Jacob has a wealth of information to share, and you might even get some tips on how to make your own bitters at home!

Our second cocktail class last week was a great success! We had so much fun tasting and learning about Vermouth from the legendary Shaun Byrne from Maidenii.
Maidenii Vermouth use loads of amazing Australian botanicals in their products, so Shaun took us all through the things that make Aussie food and drinks so unique. We got to see things like Lemon Myrtle, Toasted Wattle Seed, Strawberry Gum to mention a few!

We are very excited to announce that following the success of our inaugural class on tonic syrups, we are about to host our second masterclass in-store at The Bitters Lab!
This class will be a very interesting and unique session on Vermouth and Australian Botanicals, run by Shaun Byrne, creator of Maidenii and all round fair dinkum bloke. Shaun will be discussing what makes vermouth, and what Australian native ingredients are used in our food and beverage to give it that unique quality which has boost Aussie spirits reputation in the global marketplace.
Our guests will be able to taste some lovely products, and even taste some vermouth in a cocktail to experience it in the classic bitter style.
